The Epoxy

What is it: This could be any part of an epoxy system: the primer, base coat (broadcast coat), or the finish coat. There are a wide variety of epoxies. They each have different characteristics depending on the need: More UV stability, specific chemical resistance, improved bonding/priming ability. The epoxy is used depends on the facility type and the specific needs of that facility to result in the best epoxy floor coating possible.
What options are available: The epoxy can be clear, opaque, or pigmented to match just about any color.

The Flakes

What it is: It’s a decorative material used for aesthetics and to hide imperfections in the floor. In a decorative mosaic system, it also builds the system’s mils making the floor more durable.
What options are available: Any blend of flakes can be created to match the existing colors and design of a facility. (Currently, we are offering 10 standard blends due to shipping and supply issues caused by the pandemic. Under usual circumstances, any blend can be created to match the existing design of a facility.)

The Extras or Add-Ons

What it is: Occasionally a specialty product, or feature is required to ensure the best epoxy floor coating for the customer.

What options are available:

• Customers may need a fast turn-around on the installation and that will require quicker curing products like polyaspartics.
• Some floors require a more UV stable product like urethanes or polyaspartics.
• Cove can be added to any or systems for easier cleaning.
• Some floors have high moisture content beyond what a standard system can withstand. In that case we would need to look at one of our moisture mitigation options.
• Adding anti-slip to any of our products is not an added expense to the customer. Every job and floor have unique slip resistant requirements and we address these with each customer. All options are encapsulated by the resin maintaining a seamless, cleanable surface.

Best epoxy floor coating for breweries:
The best resinous coating for breweries would be an impact resistant, high heat resistant urethane cement, with added cove for improved cleanability.

Best epoxy floor coating for garages:
For multi-level garages the best coating would be a flexible coating like one of our trafficote systems. For all other garages, a heavy duty, sand filled epoxy system gives maximum performance under extreme use.

Best epoxy floor coating for medical use:
Quartz flooring is ideal for medical use because of its great impact resistance, cleanability, and subtle decorative look. This system is ideal for a sterile environment with an integrated cove.

Best epoxy floor coating for schools:
Decorative mosaic or quartz flooring look great in schools. Custom color blends match school colors and both systems are an economical choice with great overall performance.

Best epoxy floor coating for shops and industry:
A stylish and trendy metallic epoxy is great for retail areas. All colors created are customizable and unique to each project.

Would be an epoxy quartz system. The combination of decorative and performance hold up in a wet, slippery environment while looking great.
